Stephen brings an unparalleled set of skills to his coaching approach, developed through years of pursuing mastery in a wide range of interests. His passion for progression and evolution of knowledge is at the center of everything he does, and key to his coaching craft.

On the bike, Stephen's technical skills honed through years of brakeless BMX set him apart from others in the field. These skills combined with a relentless drive to perfect his training process catapulted him to the top of US professional cyclocross, and to the top in the world.

He also enjoyed a successful professional road and MTB career, where again, he demonstrated that his technical ability, combined with perfectly tuned fitness, made him a threat on the road and trail amassing NRC road and criterium podiums as well as professional mountain bike XC wins and even a US Pro XC MTB Nationals podium.

In Stephen’s cyclocross career he earned three professional National Cyclocross titles, two Pan-American titles, multiple USA Cycling Pro CX overall titles, and won the overall US Pro CX Cup, among others.

Stephen was a six time member of the US cyclocross national team and quickly found his footing helping his teammates while winning titles and racing thirty World Cups. The transition to national team coach was the logical progression. He quickly found his place assisting the nation's top riders and offered a unique perspective to each athlete with his considerable set of coaching tools.

Stephen lives in Easthampton, MA, and is accepting athletes at all levels.
